Insight Global Controls Engineer / Sr Controls Technician in Arlington, Virginia
Job Description
We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join the team immediately and sit at the Pentagon.
*This position requires the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
As Control Systems Engineer/Sr Controls Technician, you will:
Configure and program HVAC building automation and control systems (direct digital controls) and create sequence of operations
Develop and test software programs to operate the system
Support technicians by ensuring the quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs
Loading, commissioning, bench testing and troubleshooting system level building control systems and network-level controllers
Validates complete system functionality
Provide field change information to the project team for as-built drawings and software
SHIFT
Every other Saturday is required for cutovers. Saturday shifts are typically 11-16 hours - and on weeks where you work on Saturday, the schedule is Weds-Friday 7AM-3:30PM, and Saturdays.
On off weeks, when Saturdays are not required, you will work a 4/10 schedule Tuesday-Friday

Skills and Requirements
Controls Engineer:
o 10 years of experience with DDC controls -- programming, troubleshooting, implementing and testing DDC systems
Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys and Tridium Niagara certification is a STRONG preference
* Could also take someone with experience with Honeywell, Siemens, Delta, Distech, Carrier, ALC, or Andover
**Ability to obtain a government security clearance
*If you do not meet the 10 years of required experience, we can bring you on as a Sr Controls Technician and have you grow into the Engineer role.
Sr Controls Technician --
o 5 years of experience with DDC controls -- programming, troubleshooting, implementing and testing DDC systems
Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys and Tridium Niagara certification is a STRONG preference
* Could also take someone with experience with Honeywell, Siemens, Delta, Distech, Carrier, ALC, or Andover -- but this is not going to be prioritized
o Programming experience is required Tridium Niagra certification
