Amentum DARPA Contract Acquisition Specialist in Arlington, Virginia

Amentum is seeking a Contract Acquisition Specialist to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in writing and editing succinct, compliant, solicitations and briefings and have excellent editing skills, to include a strong knowledge of grammar, sentence structure, and standards of written and visual presentation style.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with leadership, contracting officers, and program teams to develop and edit Broad Agency Announcements and other solicitation types

  • Ensure compliance is maintained with regards to Agency and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Respond to and organize questions from interested bidders, receive and in-process proposals, help to develop proposal review teams, and assist the program teams with presenting the findings of the proposal evaluations to leadership.

  • Distill complex technical and scientific concepts into accessible language for a broad range of audiences in written and presentation formats.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a related technical or management discipline and at least five (5) years of professional experience.

  • Background in Government R&D contract acquisition

  • Must have a US Government Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. Please note US citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.

  • Ability to interface with a wide-range of audiences including internal and external Government and Military leadership and stakeholders across all Services, including through written, verbal, and presented communications

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and in dynamic, fast-paced team environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Adobe PDF
