Clearance:Active DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule:Onsite with some remote telework if authorized.
Role Overview:
The Financial Management Specialist provides continuous support to the Information Resources Division (IRD) in developing and managing financial documentation. Responsibilities include drafting and editing financial documents such as Funding Action Requests and Tri Annual Reviews, participating in meetings, and entering data into financial databases. The contractor will support the tracking of expenditures, obligations, and awards across the IC4 portfolio, requiring familiarity with DoD and MARCORSYSCOM financial systems. Duties also include identifying and resolving discrepancies between program reporting and financial management tools, supporting the development of spend plans, PEPs, OPPs, and other financial planning documents, and providing logistical and technical support for meetings.

Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed
Specific Skillset
Strong understanding of financial principles and processes (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting)
Experience with financial databases (e.g., CERBERUS, DAI)
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to draft and edit clear, concise, and accurate financial documents (e.g., Funding Action Requests, Tri Annual Reviews)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and management
Ability to reconcile data and identify discrepancies
Ability to support project planning and execution
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to participate in meetings and contribute constructively
Familiarity with DoD and MARCORSYSCOM financial systems and processes
Requirements
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.
Highschool Diploma or GED
Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience with financial systems.
Federal government experience.
Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) experience.
USMC experience is highly preferred.
