Nestle Senior Global Mobility Specialist in Arlington, Virginia

Position Overview:

The Global Mobility (GM) Senior Specialist is a pivotal role that provides comprehensive support to our internal customers regarding their Global Mobility cases. This includes handling (directly or through our vendors and Subject Matter Experts) all aspects of international transfer services, such as relocation, immigration, and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Coordination: Handle Human Resources activities for our expatriate employees as well as our permanent international transfers

  • Consultation Services: Provide pre-departure, post-arrival, and assignment counseling to international employee transfers

  • Policy Administration: Ensure compliance with Nestlé worldwide guidelines and local employment regulations while consulting with US operating companies (HR and business partners) regarding the application of expatriate programs

  • Payroll and Tax Coordination: Oversee GM payroll actions related to transfer allowances, tax policies/guidelines and international split payrolls

  • Finance Collaboration: Work closely with other GM members to ensure proper cost allocation of invoicing to and from foreign affiliates including the preparation of cost estimates for different stakeholders depending on the need

  • Relocation Compliance: Partner with our international relocation providers to ensure adherence to Company policy (US relocation and US immigration)

  • Regular Programs and Special Projects Leadership: Lead various Global Mobility programs and projects related to expatriation or permanent international transfers (home leave, expatriate salary revision or short-term bonus, tax settlements, etc.)

  • Visa Process Coordination: Collaborate with our immigration law firm to secure the appropriate visa and Legal Permanent residency (if applicable) for temporary and permanent international transfers

  • HRIS Partnership: work closely with internal stakeholders on the international transfer information into SAP as well as coordinate such data with foreign affiliates and the various US operating companies

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist and/or HR specialist experience (benefits, tax, payroll, compensation, or immigration)

  • Prior experience in Global Mobility and/or relocation is highly desirable.

  • Global Mobility professional certification is a plus

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes

  • Understanding of international taxation and US immigration is preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and pay attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Experience with SAP HR is a plus

  • Mathematical abilities to perform moderately complex calculations

  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization

  • Ability to exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
