Amazon Sr Product Manager - Technical, Amazon in Arlington, Virginia

Description

We're seeking a talented Product Manager to join our team working on an innovative software management platform. You'll play a key role in transforming how our company manages software across the organization. Your mission will be to help build a comprehensive solution that provides visibility and control across all applications used in our large enterprise environment.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive the product vision for our software management platform, aligning with our multi-year strategic plan

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop advanced models for discovering and categorizing applications

• Lead the expansion of software integrations to capture real-time activity data

• Design and implement cost optimization features, including license management workflows and portfolio insights

• Work closely with procurement, IT, and finance teams to streamline contract management and renewal processes

• Partner with security teams to address risk and compliance parameters for applications

• Lead the integration of our platform's capabilities with other strategic company initiatives

A day in the life

Your day starts with a sprint planning session, collaborating with the engineering team on new feature implementation. You'll balance technical constraints with business needs as you discuss how to enhance the platform's capabilities.

You dive into user feedback on the latest release, identifying trends and brainstorming improvements.

You'll present the quarterly roadmap to leadership, explaining how new features align with company goals. Your deep understanding of the product and market will help you field challenging questions.

About the team

AppSense product is supported by three different engineering teams based out of Seattle, Arlington and Dublin as our main hubs. You will work closely with multiple SDMs and TPMs to make sure right features are prioritized.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
