IBM Corporation Technical Lead in Armonk, New York
Technical Lead, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): Engage in effective communication with the client through daily meetings, emails, and direct messages to gather and analyze business requirements. Lead the DevOps team by providing guidance, leadership and support through daily consistent open communication. Leverage JIRA to plan, manage and track assigned tasks. Support the team by conducting live brown bag sessions to help the team with any technical task. Identify team risks and issues and notify management immediately if risks or issues are found. Gather the required test cases to be included in the test automation pipeline. Create and validate automated test pipelines. Collaborate with the team on the CI/CD pipeline design for the database migration and code deployment tasks with integrated automated tests, automated builds and automated deployments. Create a pipeline in UrbanCode deploy to manage integration of multiple DevOps tools for the purpose of automating database configuration migration. Create python scripts that will handle the automation of migration and deployment tasks. Help design AWS migration plan for the on-prem legacy application. Help create conversion design of the application from a monolithic application to a microservice application. Manage AWS resources and environments through infrastructure-as-code. Manage application deployment and orchestration through Kubernetes and Docker. Manage AWS RDS postgres databases. Utilize Agile methodologies during software development. Create monitoring dashboards and alerting process for application health monitoring. Serve as the SME for all containerization technology and AWS cloud tasks in the team. Utilize: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, IT Infrastructure and Architecture, Agile, UrbanCode Deploy, JIRA, Python. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five (5) years of experience as an Application Developer, DevOps Engineer or related. Five (5) years of experience must include utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, IT Infrastructure and Architecture, Agile, UrbanCode Deploy, JIRA, Python. $147,285.00 to $230,200.00 per year.
