A DAY IN THE LIFE

Our Arvada, CO office is currently seeking a Project Manager with a minimum of four years of experience and a strong science background to support a variety of midstream and upstream oil and gas projects in the DJ Basin (Colorado) and potentially the greater Rocky Mountain Region.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to manage environmental projects that involve environmental assessments, general compliance, and permitting for county, state, and federally regulated projects. This position requires an advanced background in regulatory processes and agency coordination.

As a key member of the 2DOT team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Managing at the project and task level, the environmental compliance aspects of large-scale projects.
  • Costing oil and gas projects and tasks for a range of work.
  • Technical writing including proposals, technical reports, and senior level reviews of peer prepared reports.
  • Proven track record of providing quality, on-time products for clients, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work concurrently on several projects each at different phases.
  • The position may require travel from time to time.
  • Understanding of oil and gas environmental compliance work with a minimum of 4 years of practical experience. YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or environmental engineering.

  • At least four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience and knowledge with Oil and Gas rules and regulations (specifically the 900 series ECMC Rules).
  • Experience working with Colorado ECMC, CDPHE, and the US EPA
  • Experience with spill response/reporting, ECMC Form 19 and Form 27 frameworks, and remediation.
  • Data management and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace products, including, but not limited to: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Chat, and Meet.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data analyses, compile data, and write technical documents.
  • Experience with electronic data collection (e.g. tablet).

  • Experience and a strong ability to effectively communicate with regulatory agencies, clients, and team members.
  • Experience writing proposals, estimating costs, and project management for oil and gas clients.
  • Proficient in technical writing, study plan compilation, describing baseline conditions, and impact analyses.
  • Researching and interpreting federal, state, and local regulations on a project-specific basis to assess project permitting feasibility and requirements; and interface with regulatory agencies.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently, willingness to work as part of team, and the ability to stay positive and effective during long days in the field are critical.
  • The successful applicant will be safety conscience and continually assess ways to mitigate hazards.
  • Applicant must be able to work with and communicate with a diverse group of co-workers and clients to provide high quality and efficient work products.

  • Working knowledge of geographic information system (GIS);
