Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Chief of Staff, located in Ashburn, VA. Responsibilities In this position you will serve as an advisor to management on a major mission or administrative program requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess complex management and program processes and systems. In this Management and Program Analyst position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals. Typical work assignments include: Coordinating the activities of office support staff, advising and providing analytical support on problem definition, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures Evaluating the content of new or modified legislation for projected impact on CBP programs Reviewing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a major department wide mission or administrative program Ensuring that accurate, appropriately concise, and timely information is available to executive management and policy officials Drafting, providing expert advisement on, recommending and administering the planning and controls for submission of data.
