The Opportunity:

CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with software engineering experience and project facilitation abilities to support a major program based in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidate should have expertise with development of DoDAF models and management of IT portfolios to support Enterprise Architecture projects. You will have the opportunity to develop architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines. You will also advise on the feasibility of future projects to management for all phases of programs from inception to completion. Additionally, you’ll plan for the adoption of emerging technologies into the enterprise to achieve long-range objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality and ensuring the goals and objectives of an initiative and the program are accomplished. Please note this role will require on-site work two days per week at the customer’s office in Arlington, VA. The remaining days of the week allow for remote work.

What you’ll get to do:

Serve as an Enterprise Architect on a small team of Enterprise and Data Architects providing enterprise architecture and data architecture capabilities to our ARNG customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in strategic planning, enterprise architecture and emerging technologies

  • Collaborates with end user facing teams to define technology migration strategies and approaches

  • Drives adoption and adherence of reference architectures and initiatives to replace tactical solutions with strategic solutions

  • Provides guidance to end user facing teams on enterprise activities, architecture issues and resolution definition

  • Performs architecture reviews as required, ensuring initiatives are aligned with future state

  • Advocates effective architectural designs and optimizes current architecture and processes

  • Identifies risks, opportunities, compliance issues or other architectural concerns

  • Actively supports scalability, skill transfer and organizational change management by promoting visibility and real-life architecture representation

  • Ensures that appropriate resources are brought to bear on complex production issues affecting enterprise applications

  • Analyzing project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving schedule, technologies, methodologies, tools, and solution components

  • Ensuring product quality and timeliness of efforts

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, with at least an Interim DoD Secret or higher

  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.Experience acceptable in lieu of degree

  • At least seven (7) years of direct enterprise architecture experience

  • Experience in the current version of the Department of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Enterprise Architecture conceptual modeling, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in enterprise application design patterns

  • Experience in the agile management framework

  • Understanding of key business drivers

  • Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution

  • Collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers, Data Architects and Network Engineers to integrate and implement innovative technical solutions.

  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong written and verbal communication skills and work ethic; self-starter

  • Modeling and documentation tools such as ARIS, Visio, System Architect

  • Skills to successfully accomplish all tasks in the “Responsibilities” section

  • Acts independently to expose and resolve problems

  • Working on-site at client facility in Arlington, VA required two days per week.

Desired:

  • Technical Certifications such as Open Certified Architect, Zachman Certified Enterprise Architect, or other related technical certifications

  • Experience using enterprise modeling tools such as ARIS, Pro Vision, Cameo MagicDraw, System Architect

  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas

  • Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting creativity, and resourcefulness

  • Periodically develops data which goes beyond existing boundaries of information in field

  • Understanding of DISA STIG

  • Experience working in the DoD IT environment

  • Full understanding of cloud technologies and architecture

  • Experience working with ECMA or JWCC on the migration of systems and applications to the cloud

  • Experience supporting EA efforts on a DoD, Army, or ARNG project

  • Understanding of WAN and ICAN architecture and technologies

  • Knowledge and/or experience with the use of APMS

  • Knowledge and/or experience with the use of eMASS

  • Knowledge and understanding of the reference architecture for the Zero Trust Architecture

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Army Unified Network Plan and ORGNET convergence initiatives

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$102,900 - $216,200
