If you are interested in playing a pivotal role in refining precision health testing this opportunity is for you! We are seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to work with a great team with a common goal of finding the root cause of chronic health issues! Opportunity to be cross trained in multiple departments of the lab!
Location: Asheville, NC
Pay: $18/hr – $22/hr
( Flexibility to go higher depending on experience level)
Shift: 1st and 2nd shifts available!
Summary
Process and analyze patient samples, monitor QC, and ensure all instruments are maintained properly.
Essential Functions
Perform department procedures and demonstrate sound laboratory techniques.
Must have read and follow Departmental SOPs.
Demonstrates proficiency in judging acceptability of quality control results.
Communicates sample issues within and outside the department to support proper client communication.
Participates in internal and external proficiency testing.
Demonstrated proficiency in performing maintenance on equipment in the department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or other life sciences
Academic or professional laboratory experience
Basic or advanced chemistry techniques: Wet chemistry or Analytical Chemistry background (titrations, pH, GC, GC/MS, HPLC, UV-VIS, etc)
