Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Distribution Quality Team Leader to join our leadership team in Atlanta, GA for 2 nd shift 2:30-11:00p EST. This position is a hands-on team leader position. The Quality Team Leader provides the leadership necessary to establish and maintain quality levels of products through the entire value chain, driving an effective quality system. In this role, you are responsible for quality compliance of all functions and driving continuous improvement to support our receiving, value services (kitting and labeling), rework, and shipping operations. The successful candidate will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication, and promote employee engagement that enables the team to meet business objectives. This position reports directly to the Distribution Quality Manager. This position may require periodic weekend/evening work.

Core Job Responsibilities:
Manage the assurance of continuous improvement toward defect-free processes that create loyal customers and promote a learning culture.
Perform daily audits and quality checks for all areas in the distribution center throughout the shift.
Analyze audit results daily and weekly via the use of Access or other available computer databases and present charts to teams and the Quality Team.
Report on quality performance metrics and coordinate performance improvement initiatives.
Manage the resolution and follow-up of quality issues with internal customers, external customers, and suppliers.
Manage, mentor, and develop associates; lead the assessment and establishment of education, training, and skills profiles for hourly quality technicians.
Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls.
Ensure a safe environment for employees through adherence to safety policies, assessing and eliminating hazards, and improving housekeeping standards.
Lead Material Review Board meetings, reviewing quality events to drive corrective action and proper disposition of nonconforming material.
Provide guidance and support in responding to deviations associated with warehouse and materials management operations.
Drive and oversee improvements in warehouse and materials management processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Provide training on a regular basis regarding products and package protection guidelines for new associates.
Notify Quality Management of any quality issues that may be regulatory significant or impact the acceptability of products or materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have demonstrated sense of responsibility, leadership skills, and accuracy in performance of past and present job assignments.
Dependability and attendance are significant factors in the requirements of the job.
Ability to read and understand specifications and instructions.
Must have strong communication skills and be able to present material on a one-to-one basis as well as to a group of peers and/or management if needed.
Demonstrated knowledge and skill level with software programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, ETQ, and Oracle.
Annual skills update training, as needed.
Must be able to explain the intent of the quality policies to peers and the Operations Team.
Ability to read blueprints and product specifications.
Able to investigate misshipments and follow the FAI process.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of driving continuous improvement.
Essential Skills or Knowledge:
Motivated self-starter able to prioritize projects, accept responsibility, and follow through without close supervision.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Highly articulate verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects.
Ability to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions and recommendations.
Desire to continually learn and expand the knowledge base and provide continuous education for their team.
Knowledge of UL, CE, and transportation regulations is a plus.
