Robert Half Accounts Receivable Settlement Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Settlement Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected candidate will play a key role in managing our accounts receivable portfolio. This will involve tasks such as processing a high volume of customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving any related inquiries. The position also entails monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Manage portfolios consisting of the largest volume Recycle Division Customers

• Communicate effectively with business unit personnel to establish relationships necessary for timely resolution

• Participate in the training of new team members and distribute best practices to the team

• Prepare analysis and reconciliation of Monthly Top 5 and Random 5 Audit accounts

• Take a lead role in documenting team processes and procedures

• Assist with other areas as required and participate as a part of the SME group to evaluate, recommend, and deploy improvements to current processes, procedures, and systems

• Process daily invoices for multiple facilities using multiple systems

• Reconcile customer receivable accounts, research, validate, and resolve all invoice discrepancies

• Maintain UAC cash cases, apply timely and accurately, and resolve customers that do not go through JDE Automatch

• Document Process and Procedures

• Identify and explain status and risk of Credit Oversold Accounts. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Proven experience in sales and negotiation

• Ability to provide accurate documentation and reporting

• Experience in training and planning

• Familiarity with invoicing and payment processing

• Ability to conduct thorough research

• Understanding of billing functions and cash activity

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures

• Experience in conducting audits and reconciliations

• Understanding of finance and revenue accounting

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks

• Familiarity with facilities management

• Experience in credit management

• Understanding of billing and collection processes

• Ability to maintain and enhance procedures.
