The Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Division in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University is seeking a full-time psychologist with experience in family-based interventions to join our dynamic team . This position is open to both early career and experienced psychologists. Faculty appointment is provided through the Emory University School of Medicine. Rank is commensurate with clinical service, teaching, and research record.
Job Description :
The psychologist will work within the Child, Adolescent, & Young Adult Psychiatry Division’s outpatient clinic at the Brain Health Center, focusing on providing family-based services. Assessment and treatment will utilize a systemic approach to address processes contributing to child psychiatric symptoms, improve parent-child relationships, and enhance parenting practices. Successful candidates will collaborate with families to deliver evidence-based, culturally sensitive treatment for a wide range of childhood emotional and behavioral problems. This position will also require participation in teaching and training activities within the Division, with opportunities for program development and research.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a PhD or PsyD from an APA/PCSAS accredited program and must have completed an APA accredited child internship. Additionally, applicants must have expertise in treating children and adolescents using evidence-based systemic treatment approaches. Applicants should be licensed or licensed-eligible in Georgia prior to employment. Applicants with leadership experience and competencies also are encouraged to apply.
