Description:
We are seeking an Intermediate Linux Administrator IT Systems Support
Specialist to integrate, implement, and modify user information systems. This
role involves coordinating the installation, testing, operation,
troubleshooting, and maintenance of these systems. You will provide both
functional and technical expertise to support the operation and maintenance of
user systems, including labs, training facilities, and general IT office
software and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct needs analysis, plan, and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware/software.
Develop functional and technical IT system requirements and specifications.
Provide technical support by allocating system resources, managing accounts, administering passwords, and ensuring documentation, security, recoverability, and access.
Deploy security and operating system patches.
Monitor and report on system performance.
Support internal departmental servers.
Maintain hardware and software inventories and update departmental software license management policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4+ years of job-related experience.
Skills:
Proficiency in Linux, Red Hat, Ubuntu, Linux administration, and RHEL.
Experience with Windows system administration, including Cameo, Teamwork Cloud, PKI certificate management, VDI infrastructure management, enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery, system updates and upgrades, system hardening, and general troubleshooting.
Experience with DevSecOps environments, including Hyper-V, Anaconda/Python packages, GitLab, Kubernetes (Rancher), Docker/Podman, Artifactory, X-ray, Neuvector, and command line proficiency.
Experience with Splunk, Nessus, and other IT systems and enterprise applications.
· This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret,
Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret,
Interim Top Secret)
· Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required,
U.S. Citizenship is required
