Description

Emory Law seeks a Program Coordinator to join its Registrar's Office. Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Registration, the position supports academic efforts of the school of law in compliance with accreditation standards and university policy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific Law School program including program-related conferences, conventions and/or meetings.

  • Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement.

  • Identifies and pursues ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative procedures used by students and faculty.

  • Actively participates in committees pertaining to academic/programmatic services.

  • Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program.

  • Responds to inquiries regarding program requirements.

  • Advises students on matters related to the program; develops resources to address particular needs.

  • Provides direction, referral, and placement resources to students seeking employment opportunities in their respective field of study.

  • Develops promotional and communication materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program.

  • May assist in identifying funding resources and in developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives.

  • Prepares operational and statistical reports.

  • Maintains complete and accurate program records.

  • May maintain and update the departmental website.

  • May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

  • Develops a working knowledge of all aspects of the Office of Registration.

  • exam administration

  • graduation

  • data reporting

  • Maintains complete and accurate records to ensure satisfactory audits and federal compliance (databases, academic files, etc.).

  • Works with office staff to develop operational calendar and documentation for office procedures,

  • Assumes responsibility for Office of Registration website and develops communications materials to be distributed to the community in collaboration and consultation with the Communications Department of the school of law.

  • Assists the Registrar's Office in providing data upon request while adhering to FERPA standards and guidance from the Institutional Research Department of the school of law.

  • Works proactively with office staff to find ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative procedures used by students and faculty.

  • Maintains a consistent, high quality, customer-focused orientation when conducting business and providing services to internal and external customers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Opus, and Canvas,

  • Prior experience in higher education,

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize incoming work, manage information, and provide value-added service to others,

  • Strong Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.),

  • Attention to detail, and

  • Experience with compliance and/or audits

To Apply

  • Applicants will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled with a first review on August 12.

  • First round interviews occur via zoom the week of August 19.

  • Final in-person interviews occur in early September.
