Position Summary

In support of Morehouse School of Medicine’s Vision; “Leading the creation and advancement of health equity to achieve health justice,” the Center of Excellence on Climate and Environmental Health is seeking a Project Manager to join their team!

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in planning, execution, and delivery of programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving successful outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, business administration, project management or related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and communities.

    Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree in public health, business administration, project management or related field.

Experience:

  • Project Management Professional ( PMP ) certification.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.

  • Execute project plans, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand program requirements and expectations.

  • Foster effective communication channels, building strong relationships with team members and clients.

Project Oversight and Coordination:

  • Coordinate activities across multiple projects to ensure cohesive and synchronized execution.

  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Motivate team members, encourage collaboration, and ensuring everyone understands their role in achieving project goals.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies at the program level.

  • Proactively address issues and challenges that may arise during project execution.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize project efficiency.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, progress, and key performance indicators.

  • Analyze data to derive insights and inform decision-making processes.

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
