Description:

Position Summary: Provide security on SJMCS owned property for the protection of staff, patients and visitors. Also provide protection to persons and property from harm due to acts in violation of city, county, state, and federal laws SJMCS policies or regulations. Provides ongoing education to staff on security issues during orientation of new employees and annual updates. Assess needs of clients who are present in parking areas and assist staff in addressing related security issues. Additionally, may be required to assume on-call duties, and serve on safety and emergency preparedness committees.

EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1 year as a Security Officer or Law Enforcement. 1 year in a Customer Service related job or Security Officer position that required comunication with the public. Knowledge of Windows based computer programs and/or basic computer skills.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to communicate effectively with others. Knowledge of Georgia Criminal Laws and basic hospital safety requirements helpful.

Clinic Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7a-5p

Wednesday 7a-8p
