What you will be supporting:

DRT will provide technical support services to the CDC to assess, modernize, and enhance a web-based portal for collaboration between the CDC and its grantees.

What are we looking for?

The Business Analyst II Project Manager works directly with public health scientists, data engineers, researchers, and product managers to play a critical role in analyzing business needs, identifying solutions, and supporting the implementation of processes and systems that align with the CDC's goals and objectives.

Fun stuff you will do on the job:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, objectives, and processes.

• Analyze current processes, systems, and data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

• Create detailed business analysis documents including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.

• Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs and ensure alignment with project objectives.

• Assist in project planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely and successful delivery of project milestones.

• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and expectations are managed.

• Support the development of test plans, test cases, and participate in system testing to ensure quality and functionality of solutions.

• Ensure that all solutions adhere to CDC policies, industry standards, and best practices.

• Evaluate existing business processes and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce costs.

• Assist in implementing process changes through change management strategies.

This is you:

• Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust with the US federal government

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with experience in business process re-engineering

• Knowledge of Agile processes, Azure DevOps, JIRA or other project management platforms commonly used in software development

• Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

• Must be well-organized, proactive, and works well in a team-setting

• Skilled in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborators

• Skilled in translating public health information, data, and concepts to functional technical requirements

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

• Recent CDC or HHS IT project support

Education & Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, public health, or related field; Master's of Public Health preferred

• CBAP or PMP preferred

    Currently due to the remote working status of the federal government, most DRT employees are teleworking from home and leveraging video conferencing along with other virtual productivity tools. Under normal circumstances, most of our positions are required to report onsite. However, DRT has not yet determined when employees will be required to return to their onsite workspaces. Please be aware that at the time a date is determined to return to the worksite, the requirement of this position may be to report in person to the work location.
