    The Senior Process Improvement expert, manages and guides the lean evolution across sites, products, and/or processes. This role integrates the Deluxe Lean Enterprise System to develop and deploy lean knowledge, culture, principles, tools and techniques. This position is a key leadership partner in achieving KPIs, leads rapid change, and supports dynamic business, customer, and internal processes including our manufacturing sites.

    Job Functions:

  • Lean / Process Improvement expert - able to help resolve large complex problems & identify & implement appropriate lean tool. **May be a SME on a specific process within a Global Process or Value Stream (i.e. Process Lead). Facilitate cross-functional or cross-business process improvement sessions (within a Global Process or Product stream) or learning activities, including sessions with senior leaders. Assist employees at all levels with implementation of all elements of the Lean Enterprise. This includes strong technical direction as well as providing resource and organizational support when needed. Provide strong participation and coordination with the Deluxe Lean Enterprise System; including involvement in training, sharing best practices with business partners. Responsible for supporting site or process level results including cost, quality, service, spoilage

  • Preparing for, planning and leading business changes across people, process and platforms or technology. Utilizes lessons learned from prior process improvements and projects to incorporate into new projects.

  • Identify improvements, quantify impacts and develop business cases for prioritization for sites / processes supported. Quantify and estimate potential impacts and costs to implement. Provide input to process team roadmaps, including providing data to support quantifiable prioritization. Support strategic direction by identifying key opportunity areas based on quantifiable business impacts. Develop strategy for implementation of Lean Enterprise with senior management teams. Evaluate and prioritize needs based on input from various groups of stakeholders within the organization.

  • Build out process maps, action plans, to drive savings, leveraging lean tools during process optimization discussions. Lead and direct the activities of internal project team resources, vendors or third-party partners, and clients throughout the project to completion, while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders to foster a collaborative working environment that survives the inevitable stresses of the overall program. This includes stakeholder management at all organization levels within the company, external vendors and clients by identifying, communicating, mitigating and managing risks and issues as perceived by or impacting stakeholder groups.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Education and Experience: Bachelor’s and 5 years

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Business, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

  • 5 years successful experience driving continuous process improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years' in driving continuous process improvement

  • Six Sigma training and /or experience

  • Knowledge and experience in process automation through technology

  • Project management experience

  • Experience in the use and training of lean methodologies including VSM, kaizen events, Kanban design, 5S, quick changeover, mistake proofing

  • Strong achievement orientation; demonstrates strong personal drive, initiative, and persistence; is motivated by challenges and determined in the face of setbacks

  • Strong interpersonal skills; develops and maintains effective working relationships with a diverse spectrum of people/customers (ex. Leadership, peers, internal and external customers)

  • Ability to drive cultural change; challenges the status quo and looks for ways to improve team and organizational performance; champions new initiatives and inspires others to make changes

  • Ability to analyze problems and make decisions; effectively analyzes issues and makes sound, logical business decisions in a timely manner

  • Strong process abilities; proficiency with Lucid Chart or Visio

  • Strong Excel abilities; proficiency with Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
