Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager role requires a highly skilled professional who excels in combining project management expertise with a strong foundation in change management and continual improvement. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of projects, employing matrix management techniques and demonstrating strong leadership skills. A strategic mindset for optimizing projects through data-driven decision-making insights is crucial, along with the ability to set methodologies and approaches for various aspects of project management and design of future state. The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying, creating, and tracking success metrics, as well as removing delivery blockers.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced change management and process improvement skills to extract insights and inform project decision-making.

  • Lead and manage complex global transformation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organization objectives and strategies.

  • Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and controlling risk on a project/integration to increase the likelihood and impact of positive events and decrease the likelihood and impact of negative events in the project and ultimate solution.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and leverage advanced technologies.

  • Determine quality and control policies, objectives, and responsibilities so that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken and the project requirements, including product requirements, are met and validated.

  • Engage in heavy matrix management, and potentially direct management, to ensure project success. Effectively delegates tasks and responsibilities to project teams.

  • Continuously evaluate industry best practices and emerging methodologies and technologies to inform project management strategies.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different regions and departments to gather insights and ensure alignment with enterprise risk management, regulatory, compliance, financial and information technology general controls as well as other global process optimization goals.

  • Identify, create, and track success metrics for projects.

  • Oversee financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost estimation, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and return on investment assessment.

  • Monitor and report on project/portfolio progress, risks, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

  • Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers to ensure project timelines are met.

  • Apply a strategic mindset to optimize projects through valuable data insights.

  • Set methodologies and approaches for process assessment, selection, knowledge management, and project design for future states, etc.

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes within established timelines and budgets.

  • Adapt to and apply different methodologies given the targeted project including Agile, Waterfall, Lean Six Sigma, etc.

  • Support the project sponsor in the setup of the project to ensure the business case is clearly defined (including estimates of required resources and funds) and relevant stakeholders are engaged as part of evaluating the product, process, solution, or integration.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, particularly in the context of matrix management.

  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field. • Equivalent work experience will be considered. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data analytics. • Proficiency in business process improvement tools and techniques. • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project execution. • Excellent leadership and matrix management abilities. • Strategic thinking and the ability to optimize projects through data-driven decision-making insights. • Experience in setting methodologies and approaches for various project management aspects. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to oversee and manage project timelines, portfolios, and vendors effectively. • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and remove delivery blockers. • Ability to perform financial analysis and develop return on investment analysis. • Familiarity with knowledge management practices. • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
