Wolters Kluwer Senior Sales Compensation Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Preferred candidate will be hybrid out of our New York, NY office. Required hybrid position out of one of our CT office locations.

As the Senior Sales Compensation Analyst you will work closely with cross-functional partners from Sales, Finance, HR and other partners of the Financial & Corporate Compliance (FCC) business. You will develop and model FCC compensation plans for assigned business unit(s) under guidance of Director of Sales & Service Incentive Compensation while ensuring alignment with best practices. You will model current and projected revenue and payout results, and develop/ update annual compensation plans and goals. You will own ongoing administration of sales compensation payouts for assigned business unit(s) in close collaboration with the business partners to ensure accurate payouts. You will track compensation plan results and analyze sales compensation plan effectiveness in achieving business goals/ strategy for assigned business unit.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning all financial aspects of yearly sales compensation plan changes in close collaboration with Sales/ Service leaders and Finance across assigned business unit ensuring alignment with business goals/ strategy

  • Model compensation plans by capturing current and projected revenue, allocating quotas, modeling commission rates and summarizing payout results by product, by position and by business unit

  • Develop/ update compensation plan summary documents and produce plan documentation

  • Administer sales compensation plans for assigned business unit in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely performance calculations and sales compensation payouts

  • Responsible for monthly commission forecasting

  • Responsible for ad-hoc analysis as requested by connected partners

  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly analysis to measure compensation plan performance including variance to budget, correlation between result and payouts by individual contributor and by manager

  • Work with business unit partners to reconcile monthly/ quarterly accounts by position, including FTE

  • Actively contribute to the ideas for enhancement of existing sales compensation processes, systems, reporting and best practices and help implement such agreed-upon ideas in the assigned business unit(s)

  • May advise and provide guidance on sales incentive compensation policies, practices, programs, compensation philosophy, and compliance requirements

  • May consult/ provide guidance on job design and organizational structure

  • May mentor more junior members of the sales incentive compensation team

  • Participate in governance activities and processes as needed

Other Duties

Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Sales & Service Incentive Compensation.

Job Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, business administration, economics, computer science, statistics, or in another related field required.

Preferred: Post-undergraduate degree in finance, business administration, statistics or equivalent highly desirable.

Minimum Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, sales compensation or sales analysis, demonstrating sound knowledge of data analytics and reporting.

Preferred Experience (includes minimum) :

  • Self-starter and able to work independently

  • Energetic with a positive attitude

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Strong project and process management skills including superior attention to detail and time management capabilities along with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve goals. The ability to multitask, taking on a variety of roles and responsibilities.

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Ability to guide and mentor more junior members of the Sales Compensation team

  • Experience with design and administration of sales compensation plans

  • Background in Software, Legal, Finance or Consulting services is highly preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Ability to understand the data sources and environment of the reports being developed.

  • Strong computer skills in Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project, Outlook and SharePoint.

  • Experience with Xactly a strong plus

  • Experience with databases and data warehouses such as Salesforce, SAP, SQL, SAS, Oracle, DB2 is a plus.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, IBM Cognos, QlikView, SAS, Tableau is a plus.

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $93,400-$130,600
