Intuit Senior Software Engineer, Finance (Mailchimp) in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview

Intuit Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small businesses. We empower millions of customers around the world to build their brands and grow their companies with a suite of marketing automation, multichannel campaigns, CRM, and analytics tools.

The Finance team at Mailchimp is crucial because it is responsible for the development and maintenance of our complex billing systems, payment processor integrations, and financial data reports. We have a long list of innovative new projects on the horizon and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us deliver them.

The ideal candidate has experience building and operating large web applications, plus familiarity with current technology trends and patterns. They should also be a skilled communicator and collaborator comfortable working across multiple teams and departments.

Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace (https://www.intuit.com/careers/return-to-work-plan/) , giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our Atlanta office two or more days per week.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience developing systems/software for large business environments.

  • BS / MS in Computer Science or a related area, with capability in fullstack or backend development.

  • Experience leading design and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services.

  • Comfortable working on all tiers of modern applications, from the front-end all the way to the database, in particular, experience with PHP, AWS, and Kubernetes.

  • Strong experience with Databases design (SQL, NoSQL) and analytics.

  • Skilled in software development lifecycle processes and experience with scrum, agile and iterative approaches.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with unit testing and automation.

  • Experience in billing and payment systems is a plus.

How you will lead

  • Write scalable application code following best practices of accessibility, internationalization and instrumentation

  • Accurately scope effort, identify risks and clearly communicate trade-offs with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Spearhead efforts to establish patterns and processes, and lead the team through examples in your own work.

  • Remain up-to-date on evolving tools and patterns for managing infrastructure and guiding our implementation of them when necessary.

  • Strong mentoring skills with ability to provide technical guidance and review code.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation for the Pricing & Lineup Capability.
