Job Description:

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Position Summary

  • Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals.

  • Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.

  • Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset

  • Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp.

  • Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements.

  • Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.

  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.

  • Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.

  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.

  • Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.

  • Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.

  • Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).

  • Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.

  • Automates manual release activities.

  • Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack.

  • Individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements

  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities

  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements

  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle

  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause

  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in JAVA and J2EE technologies.

  • Proficient with RHEL Linux, and Apache Tomcat is a must.

  • Proficient with Oracle Database jdbc connection strings and Oracle SQL/PL SQL scripting.

  • Proficient in Agile software development.

  • Source Code Management tool experience such as BitBucket

  • Development of custom code to supplement vendor software.

  • Configuration and use of secure protocols for file transmissions.

  • Remediating/modifying code, configuration, application, or environment to address any security vulnerabilities.

  • Identify/Debug issues with SystemWare Inc. software or similar repository software such as IBM CMOD; and if needed work closely with SystemWare or IBM CMOD vendor to resolve.

  • Lead code deployment/maintenance releases.

  • Certify new vendor patches or versions.

  • Prepare DTS (Detailed Task Schedule)

  • Coordinate necessary teams/resources needed to support releases

  • Schedule DTS review with application team, SCM (Source Code Management), DBA’s, SA’s (System Admins), and Prod Support

  • Submit server maintenance requests to production support.

  • Lead the execution of detailed tasks for releases.

  • Must have 1+ years of relevant experience .

  • Automation of Unit test cases

  • AFP to PDF transformation development/Document Format Type Transformation development

  • Development to make Documents/Images ADA Compliant with tagging
