Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our development infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, including AWS and Google Cloud. You will work closely with our development teams to support service builds across the enterprise and ensure a seamless development process across multiple environments.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage cloud configuration, infrastructure and services on AWS and Google Cloud while ensuring best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.

• Architect, Design, Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing.

• Build and deploy processes across different environments (development, staging, production).

• Manage relationships with development teams to understand their needs, providing them with DevOps support for backend services, including database management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with support teams to monitor cloud environments, implementing proactive measures to ensure high availability and performance while optimizing costs.

• Maintain compliance with security policies and practices, including the management of IAM roles, security groups, and network configurations.

• Lead the selection and integration of DevOps tools and technologies to enhance the development lifecycle.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on DevOps best practices and new technologies.

• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects with high-quality standards.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience

7+ years of experience in DevOps, or related IT field, cloud compute, or operations field.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, and automation, with a strong emphasis on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

• Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong understanding of network architectures and security best practices in a cloud environment.

• Hands on experience with Database management, installation, configuration (particularly SaaS/Cloud DBs) is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of mentoring others and collaborating with multiple teams.

• Certifications in AWS and Google Cloud Platform are highly preferred.
