Software Quality Engineer(f/t)

Job Description:

Developing and implementing detailed comprehensive QA test plans for automated and manual tests. Developing test automation using Postman for services and Selenium for User Interface (UI). Enhancing and developing testing with TestNG and Selenium for end-to-end automation. While working on multiple assignments in parallel, providing proactive guidance during all stages of the development lifecycle influencing specific project outcomes with the goal of defect prevention. Providing and meeting time estimates for assigned deliverables. Following agile methodologies across the projects to plan, design, and implement project deliverables. Reviewing technical design and specifications to provide feedback f rom QA perspective. Configuring and executing performance testing with JMeter and Jenkins and working with Performance Team for analysis and review. Supporting production incidents in a prompt and timely manner. Performing Quality Assurance of new and existing features in our Card Management and Payments responsive web applications. Creating and maintaining Application Programming Interface (API) and UI automation test scripts using frameworks such as Postman, selenium, and protractor. Actively participate in design reviews of new features and partnering closely with the rest of the team (Developers, Architects, Product Managers, SCM, Operations, and Business Partners). Remaining up to date with new technologies and industry trends. Participating in requirements gathering and documentation. Setting and following core engineering processes around unit testing and code coverage to ensure software code quality. Position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent* in computer science or a closely related technical field and experience with CI / CD concepts and automated build tools such as Jenkins. Experience must include demonstrated knowledge** of the following:

• Experience testing responsive web applications with automated testing frameworks;

• Experience with software development process and life cycle;

• Experience understanding complex systems; API / UI QA Automation;

• Experience with continuous Integration / Deployment;

• Experience with tools such as Jira, GitHub, Perforce, Jenkins;

• Experience with API and UI automated testing tools such as Postman, Selenium, TestNG and Protractor; and,

• Experience with digital Banking testing and domain knowledge.

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of a U.S. degree will be accepted. *Knowledge can be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience. References required.
