TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Tax Accountant I located in Atlanta, GA.
This role prepares business license applications and renewals, sales and use tax return filing, BandO tax return filing and research while following established procedures with minimal direction
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Process state, county and city business license renewals and applications Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual state and local sales and use tax returns in a timely manner in accordance with the requirements for each respective taxing jurisdiction Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual local BandO tax returns Analyze and research sales and use tax variance report each month to ensure all projects are booked accurately Assist with data gathering for various sales and use tax audits Research various tax issues to determine tax compliance requirements Interact with state and local authorities regarding tax compliance issues and license renewals Interact with bonding company to obtain bonds needed for business license renewals Interact with insurance company to obtain certificates of insurance needed for business license renewals Sort and distribute tax department mail to correct associate Maintain Excel based tax/business license compliance calendar
