Description
The hours of this position will primarily be evenings and weekends.
Provides support for the Worthington Atlantic City Campus operations, faculty, and community outreach programs and activities.
Examples of Duties
Provides administrative support for the Director, including but not limited to handling telephone and email communication, greeting and directing visitors, and dealing with campus issues and inquiries.
Processes requisitions, travel reimbursement, event registration, and membership renewals.
Serves as the first point of contact for campus and community related events and requests
Coordinates college events, programs, activities, etc. for WACC
Works closely with Director/Senior Manager to provide meeting services for internal and external events, including insurance, contractual requirements, billing, room scheduling, security, facilities, audio and catering.
Maintains client activity records and develops reports demonstrating the use of campus in coordination with the Business Office.
Serves as the liaison for vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order
Coordinates final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards
Serves as point of contact for WACC room scheduling
Maintains communication with WACC Director, Senior Manager, Security, Facilities and Custodial leads to ensure event success
Serves as the primary user for School Dude. Follow up with WACC Director and/or Facility Manager/Director to ensure requests are on target for completion
Creates and maintains an inventory tracking system to ensure office supplies and promotional items are ordered and stocked
Assists with coordinating WACC campus furniture moves and classroom needs, including office relations, renovations, and repairs
Maintains accurate and current WACC signage (hours, directional, meeting information and room assignments)
Supports Community Outreach and Inlet CDC at recruitment events as needed
Performs related duties as assigned
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- Associate degree
Experience:
Experience working in an administrative setting
Experience in higher education setting preferred
Experience in text/email campaigns preferred
Competencies and Skills:
Strong technology skills to include Microsoft Office products
Excellent writing, proofreading, organizational and clerical skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to make independent decisions
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to coordinate complex activities with multiple parties, prioritize work and meet deadlines
