Federal Aviation Administration IT Specialist in Atlantic City, New Jersey

Summary Provide second level support for CSS-Wx. Perform testing and implementation of modifications, provide customer assistance, develop technical documentation and other maintenance activities for CSS-Wx. Responsibilities Development and review of the CSS-Wx system test procedures, test plans, test reports, and technical studies. Provides technical analysis and review of Technical Instruction Books and maintenance handbooks. Identifies new maintenance and testing methods and practices, and initiates efforts to incorporate them into maintenance documentation for assigned systems. Reviews high level program plans and specifications. Participates in the preparation and evaluation of technical studies. Participates in final designs and final cost estimates to support recommendations for modifications. Prepares and coordinates risk management reports to identify and mitigate project risks. Performs system integration, support, testing and evaluation of operational equipment. In addition, the selectee will: Be proficient and knowledgeable of FAA policies, proficient in project management and be able to apply this knowledge. Resolve technical issues that rise from test activities, many of which could not be resolved by other support organizations. Exercise independent judgment to apply policy and technical knowledge to resolve problems. Communicate technical or program matters as technical point of contact on projects, programs, or other work activities. Specialized experience is: Experience testing NAS weather systems, proficiency in various testing methodologies such as Agile, experience in test case design, test execution, defect logging and regression testing, and the ability to write and maintain automated test scripts.
