*THE POSITION *

*Software Engineer, Continental Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, Auburn Hills, MI: *

Design, develop, and validate radar algorithm features such as radar signal processing, environment modelling, object tracking, object classification, and sensor fusion. Optimization of radar algorithms in terms of memory usage, runtime, and customer KPI attainment. Analyze recorded data from test vehicles to assist with addressing issues identified in validation. Maintain design and quality documentation. Collaborate effectively with multiple engineering teams, both internal and external, to determine requirements, architecture and test methods to ensure on-time achievement of project objectives. Develop tools to effectively validate new features.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field and 2 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in all of the following:

  • Implementing algorithms in the C programming language for embedded hardware;
  • Creating presentations and written communication for customers regarding radar algorithms;
  • Using sensor fusion techniques, Kalman filters, and object classification algorithms to develop radar environmental modelling algorithms;
  • Using issue tracking tools, including Jira, to track reported issues and manage the software development process;
  • Using source code management tools, including Git or IMS, to track changes and manage developed source code; and
  • Engaging in technical support discussions and meetings with customers in order to address reported issues.
