Orion Industries CNC Machinist - 2nd shift in Auburn, Washington

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce aerospace components
  • Utilize manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify product conformance
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the area
  • Assist with training of junior employees
  • Role model proper work ethics and behaviors
Requirements
  • Must be willing to work Monday - Thursday, 3:25 p.m. to 1:55 a.m. with initial training done on day shift.  
  • Previous manufacturing experience (preferably possessing experience running CNC Mills)
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Experience using basic inspection equipment
  • Willingness to support training needs of new employees

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to reach, manipulate, handle, and hold material
  • Frequent use of vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and spatial relationship

  • Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions
  • Frequent lifting of 5 or 10 pounds, with occasional lifting to 35 pounds
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses
  • Infrequent exposure to excess noise levels, necessitating the use of Hearing Protection
