This job description is not intended to be complete or limiting - the role will require a creative and flexible approach to champion the marine product range and impact the growth of the Navico marine business in a positive way.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Development of software components, practicing a "you build it, you own it" mentality
Participate in creating robust, maintainable and extensible systems using software development best practices
Work closely with a multidisciplinary design team
Actively contribute in the design, specification, development and testing of software components
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies to maximize development efficiency
Education, Experience and Skill Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Experience working alongside other engineers in a team environment
Experience in both development of new products as well as supporting their lifecycle
Specific Technology and Tooling Background
Kotlin and Java programming languages required
Strong Android application development required
Git Version Control System experience
Background or previous experience in development using C++ on Linux preferred
QT development experience as a bonus
