Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Event Coordinator in the non-profit sector, located in Augusta, Georgia. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the planning, organization, and execution of events. You will be the point of contact for businesses partnering with our organization, and work closely with our marketing team to develop promotional materials for these events.
Responsibilities:
• Take a lead role in the planning and organization of non-profit events
• Foster and maintain relationships with businesses that partner with our organization
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials for events
• Develop and manage email and direct marketing campaigns for event promotion
• Handle key account management and maintain detailed and accurate records
• Coordinate all aspects of events, ensuring smooth execution
• Proactively seek new business opportunities to expand our current book of business
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule to accommodate different shifts and occasional weekend duties
• Communicate effectively with partners and stakeholders through virtual interviews
• Use your event management skills to ensure the success of our non-profit events Requirements • Experience in the non-profit sector is preferred.
• Proven proficiency in coordinating community events.
• Demonstrable skills in event management and coordination.
• Ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Previous experience in event handling is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using event management software and tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexible to work during evenings and weekends when events are scheduled.
