Job Overview

Perioperative Advanced Practice Providers (APP) are members of the perioperative health care team working in collaboration with anesthesiology, surgery, nursing, and other health care professionals to provide pre-surgical management. APPs in this clinical role are responsible for completing the History and Physical examination on surgical candidates and coordinating with the Surgical and Anesthesia teams to meet the pre-surgical needs of patients. Responsibilities included in the Perioperative APP role includes: management of chronic/acute illness and disease, leadership in clinical practice, arrangement of clinical consultation, promotion of education, involvement in scholarly work and service activities, fiscal responsibility, and dedication to professional growth and development.

Department Name: Periop APP Job Status: flex, not eligible for benefits Shift: varies per needs of the unit. Must have ability to work any day of the week based on the needs of the unit. **Must be willing to travel to Network of Care Sites (North Campus in Broomfield and South Campus in Highlands Ranch)

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master's Degree Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Experience: Three years combined experience as RN or PNP Certification(s): Primary Care, Acute Care, or Dual Acute/Primary Care certification, BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association required. Prescriptive Authority, DEA, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Licensure(s): Registered Nurse (RN) License; Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
