VCA Aurora Animal Hospital’s Internal Medicine team invites you to be our newest Patient Care Coordinator!
VCA Aurora Animal Hospital , located in Aurora, Il , offers a wide range of specialty, critical care, emergency service, and primary care.
Our Internal Medicine Service:
Internal Medicine specialists are often considered the puzzle solvers of Veterinary Medicine. VCA Aurora’s Internal Medicine service is equipped to deal with whatever problem a patient brings—no matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. Our Internal Medicine service diagnoses and treats the many serious diseases that can affect our patients' internal body systems.
As an Internal Medicine Patient Care Coordinator, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Duties will include:
Heavy client contact, including in-depth client education about diseases and patient management.
Accurately entering charges.
Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services.
Filling prescriptions.
Maintaining and updating patient records.
Presenting and explaining treatment plans to clients.
Discharging patients to clients.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity, We utilize a "4x10" schedule (4-day work week, 10-hour shifts).
Requirements: 1 year of veterinary experience required. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
