Share This Job Job Description Essential Functions:

  • To manage and motivate a Sales team based across the Asia Pacific region.

  • To maximize retention and promote and sell products and services to existing customers.

  • To generate new logo business opportunities.

  • Achieve sales targets and company growth objectives.

  • Takes responsibility for achieving resolutions for customer issues in conjunction with the Executive Account Managers (EAM). Encourage EAM’s to sell strategically and have positive input and oversight of the solutions they sell.

  • Regularly review EAM territory parameters set (in terms of customer profile, number of accounts held, customer revenue targets and ensure that these are adhered to) and apply these during account reviews and new account sign off.

  • Regularly review sales performance (in terms of customer profile, number of accounts held, customer revenue targets etc) and ensure that these are all being achieved.

  • Conduct regular APAC sales meetings.

  • Participate in team activities and work one-on-one with your EAM’s.

  • Identify training needs and effectively coach all team members, as required. This includes proficiency with the centralized quoting tool and ensuring that your team has the necessary skills to produce professional customer quotes.

  • Ensure business is conducted in an ethical and appropriate manner.

  • Ensure that the highest level of customer service is being offered.

  • Drive revenue and sales to meet personal and company targets through prospecting, active funnel management, accurate weekly forecasts, and closing business.

  • Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.

  • To raise awareness of our clients of the company’s services.

  • To develop and close sales opportunities – effectively managing the sales process from conception through to ensuring successful implementation.

  • Performs product/sales presentations at user group meetings.

  • Completes proactive marketing tasks to customer base.

  • Manages the process of organising exhibitions and seminars throughout the year.

  • To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry.

  • Regularly communicate and coordinate with the SirsiDynix executive team to ensure that APAC initiatives are and methodologies are in alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Function as Director of APAC region responsible for attending to duties, necessary signatures and other functions that are relevant and customary of a Director-level position in the region.

Additional responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all internal departments (Marketing, Operations, Product Development, Finance, etc.) to fully understand their roles and objectives, ensuring alignment between their functions and the Sales Department.

  • Serve as the liaison between the Sales Department and other teams to ensure sales strategies are in sync with overall company goals.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, offering detailed insights into the status of sales projects, identifying and addressing issues, and communicating changes to project timelines or goals.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the department and suggest solutions that drive better efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Take on additional duties as needed, ensuring the smooth operation of the sales department and support of overall business objectives.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other sales-related CRM or management tools.

    Qualifications:

  • 8+ years preferred of experience in a senior sales role within the software or technology industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-specific sales techniques and strategies.

  • A proven record of success in achieving or exceeding sales targets in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in both direct sales and working in a business/technical solutions capacity, particularly in closing large, complex deals involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow a sales team, building a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, creativity, and accountability.

Travel Requirements

  • Regular travel within the Asia-Pacific region is a key aspect of this role to foster client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support regional sales initiatives.

  • Occasional international travel may be required to attend industry events, client meetings, or corporate gatherings as necessary for business growth.

Number of Direct Reports

  • Four direct reports – Two Executive Account Managers handling the AUS/NZ region, one Executive Account Manager responsible for Distributor relationships and Southeast Asia, one Product Specialist.
Salary

  • $115,000AUD to $125,000AUD depending on qualifications with potential for commission.
