COST ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST - CORPORATE OFFICE (AUSTIN, MN)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Is responsible for the monthly reconciliation of assigned warehouses and co-packers, all clerical steps necessary in maintaining inventory control, calculating product costs, and payment of invoices for various co-packers or subsidiaries of Hormel and invoice payment in Oracle.

  • Performs functions associated with production entry for 3rd party co-packers into QAD.

  • Analyzes and reports the Profit & Loss statements for co-packer locations weekly, and provides management with asset, liability, and accounts payable account reconciliations.

  • Performs other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • One year post high school education in accounting or equivalent in experience.

  • Experience with personal computers and ability to learn and use custom computer programs.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Oracle experience.

  • QAD experience.

  • DataServ experience.
