Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Austin, Texas
Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team in the Media industry based in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for verifying, processing, and reconciling invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining vendor records. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are proficient in account reconciliation, invoice processing, and have a knack for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Verify, process, and reconcile invoices in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors while adhering to pre-established payment terms.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices.
• Maintain comprehensive and updated vendor records.
• Manage communication with vendors regarding invoices.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare reports as necessary.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and annual audit preparations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to accounts payable.
• Utilize various accounting software and ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle for daily tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Media industry
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Strong Data Entry skills, particularly with Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle software
• Experience with QuickBooks and SAP software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be an advantage.
