The Opportunity:

The Accounts Receivable Analyst reports to the Manager of Account Receivables. This position is directly related to servicing the business for national accounts and local accounts, which includes analyzing accounts receivable transactions, reporting of accounts receivable activities and making recommendations for improving the accounts receivable processes to service accounts. This is a critical role in reducing Accounts Receivable exposure by ensuring assigned portfolio is proactively monitored, and issue resolution efforts are prompt, effective and according to company policy and procedures. The AR Analyst is ultimately tasked with driving and reporting on the reduction of the company\u2019s exposure risk within acceptable levels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounts receivable documentation to support internal and external auditor requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Proactively monitor AR aging for assigned accounts and take ownership by systemically reviewing, escalating, and triaging discrepancies and follow-through to resolution, including leadership-level communication

  • Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with internal/external stakeholders to help maximize performance, quality, and service.

  • Interact professionally and to a high degree of integrity with internal/external stakeholders and at all organizational levels.

  • Analyze data and information quickly and proficiently leveraging data from numerous databases and internal tools to perform reporting and analysis.

  • Evaluate accounts for risk of non-collection and make recommendations to management & credit team for credit hold, payment plans or bad debt reserves.

  • Initiate and lead a collaborative and coordinated effort with business partners to address collection issues, barriers and escalations driving towards a timely resolution.

  • Lead efforts to dive deep into customer account data, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate root-cause issues.

  • Support the execution of special projects and ad-hoc analyses as requested by management or based on need within the organization within defined timelines.

  • Continuously develop and enhance skills through ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent education and/or experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional accounts receivable experience.

  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, initiative-taking, resourceful and efficient.

  • Excellent people skills, ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Exercise discretion and display independent judgment with respect to matters related to accounts receivable for accounts.

  • Must be a logical thinker, organized, and detail oriented.

  • Ability to provide professional customer service to internal and external customers alike.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong technical acumen, organizational skills, and computer/systems knowledge

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team as well as with external partners and vendors.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient with MS Excel (VLOOKUP)
