UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Broadcast Advisor and Production Specialist in Austin, Texas
Work with KVRX Radio and Texas Student TV station managers to ensure that standard business and operational procedures are in place and implemented. Assist in the administration of the budget, support fundraising activities, monitor equipment needs, and verify that advertisements and underwriting sold for broadcast are well-produced and run as scheduled. Ensure fulfillment of TSM initiatives as instructed by Director of Texas Student Media.Assist the student staff members of Texas Student TV and KVRX Radio by attending station meetings and ensuring students have access to the advisor as needed. Communicate the needs of the students to the Director in a timely manner and oversee all special projects.Improve programming quality by providing content and technical assistance, feedback, and critiques, while respecting student staff content control. Coordinate training to ensure content complies with applicable FCC regulations and is free from slander, invasion of privacy, and trademark or copyright infringement.Support Bevo Video Productions, TSMs for-hire video production agency, with as-needed filming, editing, student advising, and other support as requested.
