UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Building Attendant II (Custodian) - Day in Austin, Texas
Work in all University buildings performing general cleaning and porter services according to schedule or instructions, using safe and prescribed procedures. Work well with supervisors, peers, and clients.Sweep and clean building entrances and public areas. Empty trash and recycling and pick up litter. Use commercial custodial equipment to include backpack vacuum, floor machine, and auto-scrubber.Service and restock restrooms throughout the day.Secure buildings and rooms on schedule and or after cleaning. Follow correct unlocking, locking, and alarm procedures. Follow key control and access card procedures. Carry UT ID at all times during working hours.Perform set ups for special events. Provide emergency response and clean up for floods and other custodial emergencies.Respond to custodial requests. Communicate effectively with clients on cleaning issues.Wash, wax, vacuum, and detail vehicles. Drive UT vehicles.Fill in as required for other crew members.Team cleaning procedures / rotation which include: Vacuum Specialist, Light Duty Specialist, Utility Specialist, and Restroom Specialist
