· Observe and verify the implementation of design drawings into construction, while complying to design codes, project budget, schedule, and best industry practices while minimalizing risks to projects.

· Identify issues in procurement or construction and assist the client and contractors to develop solutions.

· Carry out periodic review of project schedules to identify potential roadblocks, followed by assisting the client and contractors to develop a solution.

· Carry out periodic review on project risk register and lead discussions with the client and contractor to identify methods to mitigate these risks.

· Lead discussions between the contractor and the client to develop commissioning plans and also identify key activities needed in the commissioning phase of the project.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Education and Experience Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation.

In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept: Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management, or related field and 10 years of work experience in engineering/construction/project management or related occupation.

Special Skills or Other Requirements:

Expertise/ knowledge of:

  • Specialized knowledge and experience in delivering multiple Energy & Power projects that include various types of power generation facilities, such as combined cycle power plants, coal fired power plants, hydroelectric power plants, and solar plants.

  • Experience with the following systems and applications: commercial or industrial chillers and cooling towers, steam plant equipment (boilers, deaerators, make-up water and blow-down systems, etc.), cogeneration equipment including reciprocating engine generators, combustion turbine generators, heat recovery steam generators or steam turbine generators, air emission control systems, and water treatment systems.

  • Experience in the project management, engineering management, construction management, risk management, quality management, contract management, schedule management and resource management to deliver complex power plants and advanced facility projects.

  • Experience in the development and implementation of complex mechanical systems, including providing on-site construction management support.

  • Experience in utilizing Owner’s Engineering project knowledge to deliver complex power plant projects and advance facility projects on schedule and on budget.

  • Experience with document control & correspondence management for large Power Plant Projects
