You are:

You have proven work experience in Financial Services, and more specifically, the Capital Markets and Retirement space. You are a problem solver with extensive consulting and/or industry experience. You are a clear and effective communicator, and you have an open, relatable manner with clients and colleagues. You perform well in an agile, fast-paced working environment. You know how to balance being a leader with contributing to the collective efforts of the team.

You also are:

  • Passionate about helping clients solve complex challenges and supporting them through critical transformations.

  • Can design and implement end-to-end B2B, B2C and B2B2C digital commerce, sales and service experiences (e.g. Offer and Order Management, Pricing/Quoting, Sales Strategy, Compensation Strategy) capabilities, and architecture required to bring customer strategies to life.

  • Understand the ins and outs of the Retirement and Financial Services industry and front-line sales and commerce organizations, and ready to apply your knowledge to clients optimize and transform their sales and service solutions.

  • Have relevant experience with large scale transformations and business engagement/client facing skills in addition to the ability to demonstrate successful service quality and experience managing junior resources.

  • Ready to dive deep into creative and analytical thinking to solve problems and transform challenges into opportunities

  • Working in an agile, fast-paced environment energizes you, and you’re at your best when contributing to a team.

  • Familiar with the selling processes and you’ve pitched proposal and solutions to help solve problems

    The work:

    The Retirement & Commerce Transformation Senior Manager will apply their deep expertise in the Retirement, Capital Markets, and/or Financial Services industry at the intersection of Sales and Commerce Transformation functional areas. The candidate will be delivering on engagements in the following areas:

Thought Leadership

  • Ability to understand client needs, develop proposed solutions and deliver high impact technology initiatives; consult and partner with our clients to help them develop high performance solutions to advance their industry position in Retirement, Capital Markets and/or the Financial Services industry

  • Build relationships with Financial Services clients to sustain Accenture’s profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner

  • Consult and partner with our clients to help them develop high performance solutions to advance their industry position. Advise clients on ways to measure and improve their customer satisfaction, sales and revenue targets, operational efficiency, and other business metrics

  • Manage and coach junior team members, and continue to grow your own expertise to help Accenture maintain its thought-leadership position

Delivery Execution

  • Design & execute large scale and complex integrated programs and transformations; focusing on tasks relating to people, process and technology in the Retirement industry.

  • Implement business changes that drive industry-specific, function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on tasks relating to people and process

  • Synthesize overall technology needs by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements

  • Manage banking implementation engagements (requirements, design, test, deployment, etc.), from client buy-in to planning, budgeting, deliverables, and risk assessment, with heavy client engagement and large delivery teams

  • Lead team(s) of Financial Services and other Accenture group practitioners, and build highly successful and efficient teams. Coach and develop junior team members towards more responsibility and enhanced roles.

Sales & Origination

  • Originate, qualify, and close new opportunities for Accenture with our Financial Services clients, including B2B, B2C and B2B2C digital commerce, sales optimization / experiences (e.g. Lead to Order, Offer Management, Pricing/Quoting, Sales Strategy, Compensation) capabilities

  • Drive pipeline opportunities from idea to contract to implementation, leveraging the best across Accenture (Song, Strategy & Consulting, Technology, Operations)

  • Manage performance and profitability of sold deals, and identify opportunities for extension, cross-sell or up-sell

    Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 8+ years Retirement or Capital Markets industry experience, leading transformations specifically in a sales, operations, product or strategy role. A robust understanding of the Retirement industry, including market trends and challenges and the regulatory environment, along with knowledge on improving the end-to-end retirement customer experience in a B2B, B2C and B2B2C contexts, is required.

  • 5+ years of experience in management or technology consulting, with broad experience in engagement management, business development, and leading complex transformations

  • 2+ year of experience with originating, qualifying, and closing new opportunities through delivering sales proposals and/or business development

  • 2 + year of experience with:

  • Making strategic recommendations (or decisions) for critical experiences, products or services of the organization (and/or)

  • Managing a P&L or a pipeline of business development opportunities (and/or)

  • Providing enterprise level business or technology advisory all the way to the CEO, CTO, COO, and/or CIO

    Bonus points if you have:

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, including compelling story telling skills, highlighting of a large change or transformation to an executive audience

  • Strong client relationship development and client management skills

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills, including experience working on multiple products or deals at the same time

  • Ability to build Business Cases that are the basis for large enterprise wide initiatives

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Prior experience delivering CRM, CPQ, Lead to Order, Sales Transformation implementations

  • Advanced degree or financial industry certification

  • You have experience working with onshore and offshore delivery teams

  • You are bringing an existing network of relationships within the Financial Services industry at decision making levels (MD, VP or up)

  • Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
