Amazon Senior Manager Security Engineering in Austin, Texas

Description

Do you enjoy leading multiple teams focused on solving security problems at an extremely large scale? Do you get excited about analyzing and understanding the nature of security vulnerabilities and their potential impact? Amazon Stores Security is looking to hire a Senior Security Engineering Manager to lead key parts of our Vulnerability Management program. In this role, you will own the vision and strategy for your organization. You will stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to ensure Amazon’s Stores businesses are protected and our customers’ data is safe. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge vulnerability management tools and technologies. You will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including security engineers and system developers. This cross-functional collaboration will provide you with valuable insights and knowledge sharing opportunities, enhancing your skills and expertise in vulnerability management.

Austin, TX, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related discipline, or 15+ years of equivalent technology experience

  • 7+ years managing complex, multi-workflow, large-scale security or engineering programs

  • 5+ years managing, building, and developing security engineering teams

  • 5+ years experience across information and cyber security domains, including hands-on security engineering experience

  • Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently

  • Hands-on experience with hyper scale applications development using AWS technologies

  • Solid foundation in software engineering principles

  • Related compliance experience, e.g. DSS, GLBA, SAS70 SOX/HIPPA

  • CISSP, CISA, CISM and/or other security certifications
