Amazon Senior Techincal Program Manager, Amazon Key in Austin, Texas

Description

Lead end-to-end product development of new hardware automating access to the trailer dock to address human/machine efficiency and safety improvements at the Fulfillment operations.

Key job responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering development teams and global process owners to architect and deliver technical solutions and define product roadmaps.

Plan and design systems that increase critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance.

Leverage and integrate advanced technology into new product development to maximize return on investment and minimize costs.

Simultaneously manage multiple projects while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.

Coordinate with hardware and software engineering teams to develop product features that improve the performance of the Amazon fulfillment network.

Work with operations team to manage the global deployment of automation solutions within the fulfillment network.

Engage with suppliers, R&D groups, operations and procurement on engineering change coordination and cost reduction efforts.

Lead continuous improvement projects to improve machine up-time and reduce machine breakdowns related to new technologies

Design, fabricate, implement, and fully document equipment improvements and modifications related to new technologies

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
