The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. The AWS Marketing Events Technology Team is seeking a seasoned full-stack software developer to build the future with us. You will be an engineer on the team to support the foundation of a new development team, using your engineering experience to build an culture of innovation, quality and customer obsession. You are expected to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, maintainable software that solves new and difficult problems. You are able to troubleshoot failures and prevent them from reappearing. You will contribute across the software stack, including back end services, front end components, and applied machine learning.

Key job responsibilities

• Designing software solutions, building new concepts and methodologies, hands on problem-solving and writing efficient code

• Designing and building new features that are highly performant and scalable

• Designing and building tools and systems that support thousands of designers across the world

• Instilling best practices for software development and documentation, making sure designs meet requirements, and delivering high quality software on tight schedules

AWS Event Technology (ET) Team is committed to providing trustworthy, and engaging event experiences, both virtually and IRL (“in real life”). We prioritize delivering a seamless and intuitive experience to ensure an enjoyable experience to attendees, while also informing them about our latest offerings and the benefits they can enjoy by using new AWS technologies. Additionally, we aim to provide tools and services to our internal teams to streamline event planning, execution, and attendee engagement across diverse platforms, while delivering measurable growth.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
