Role

Want to lead search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives and product implementation for a publicly traded Fortune 500 company? We are seeking a Senior SEO Specialist for the Land.com Network to identify and lead SEO initiatives. This person will leverage their knowledge and skills to drive success in organic search. This includes owning SEO initiatives and identifying SEO opportunities and potential risks that could limit organic search performance. This role is within the Product org. and will work directly with the Product and Development teams. This role is responsible for staying current on SEO industry trends and emerging opportunities in the evolving SEO landscape.

This position is located in Washington, DC or Austin, TX and offers the following hybrid schedule option: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Responsibilities

  • Serve as our in-house SEO expert.

  • Continually audit sites and performance to identify areas needing SEO improvements.

  • Prioritize SEO initiatives and execute on an SEO roadmap.

  • Write product stories, join grooming sessions, and provide guidance throughout implementation.

  • Develop and monitor site analytics reports, perform tests, and track effect on KPIs.

  • Work closely with product management, developers, marketing, and content partners to drive traffic generating initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.

  • 5+ years of experience in Search Engine Optimization roles.

  • Metrics-driven and ability to create reports tracking and analyzing SEO performance.

  • Experience in SEO/Analytics tools such as: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, AHREFs, Screaming Frog, etc.

  • Great at keyword research and discovering new opportunities to drive traffic.

  • Understanding of how site architecture affects SEO.

  • Understanding of the components of Core Web Vitals, their effect on SEO, and how to improve them.

  • Understanding of Schema.org and how it impacts SEO.

  • Experience creating detailed user stories and product specifications for development.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated and action oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • SEO experience with large, consumer facing national websites with millions of pages and/or visits per month.

  • Product management, software development, and/or analytics experience a plus.

  • Experience with log analysis tools such as Botify or DeepCrawl.

  • Experience with AI tools and integrating AI-generated content onto SEO landing pages.

  • Background in the real estate industry.
