Responsibilities include: Create state-of-the-art machine learning development tools and software libraries. Design software libraries to assist in building and executing machine learning models. Develop computer algorithms to complete specific software tasks for cutting edge computer vision, speech, and machine learning experiences for the end users of our software stack. Build compiler toolchain to translate, convert and optimize machine learning models. Define and build user-facing application programming interfaces and software packages to enable users to interact with software. Interact with customers as needed and provide engineering roadmap to assist in prioritization of deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or related occupation
Special Requirements: Must have prior work experience in each of the following:
Writing compiler code and optimizations including graph passes
Performance optimization using hardware-software co-design.
Performant in C++, Python Experience with open-source machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow
Writing performance and scalable software stack

Pay range:
$148,500.00 - $222,500.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
