Menzies Aviation Supervisor / GSE Mechanic $33/hr in Austin, Texas

Main accountabilities include:

• Comply with the Location’s attendance/tardiness standards.• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.• Schedules all preventive maintenance inspections.• Orders parts required for preventive maintenance and major repairs.• Maintains all equipment records and monitors vehicle registration and hour meter program.• Coordinates scheduling of equipment to be repaired.• Coordinates all QA inspections on fuel equipment.• Adjusts errors and complaints.• Performs or assists in performing duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:• Directly supervises employees.• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.• Ensure Ground Equipment and Fueling repair deadlines are met

• Must be 18 years of age or older.• Must provide necessary tools.• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Completion of an Automotive/Diesel Mechanic degree program preferred.• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.• Ability to write correspondence.• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendors, and other employees of the organization.• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.• Possess/maintain a valid US driver’s license with clean driving record and other FAA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. ASE Certifications a plus.• Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.• Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs.• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal. To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials, and documents.• Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices, especially those relating to safety and security.
