Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff in Austin, Texas. This role primarily involves financial reporting, general ledger management, financial analysis, audit support, compliance, and process improvement. The successful candidate will be expected to oversee the general ledger, prepare and review financial statements, assist with audits, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and documented
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and support schedules are prepared timely and accurately
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices
• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting functions and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Oversee and manage cash activity and auditing processes
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and CCH Sales Tax for tax-related tasks.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is desired
• Experience with CCH Sales Tax is beneficial
• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Knowledge of Accounting Functions is essential
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) is beneficial
• Proficiency in Auditing is desired
• Experience in managing Cash Activity is required
