Robert Half Tax Preparer in Austin, Texas

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Tax Preparer to join our team based in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, reviewing financial documents, and providing strategic tax planning advice. You will also communicate effectively with clients to address their questions and concerns, and stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.

• Review clients' financial documents to gather necessary information for tax preparation.

• Stay abreast of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide the most accurate tax advice.

• Identify opportunities for clients to save on taxes and provide strategic tax planning advice.

• Communicate effectively with clients to address their questions and concerns regarding tax preparation and planning.

• Use accounting software systems to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts for necessary actions.

• Utilize skills in ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Accounting Functions, Annual Income Tax Provision, Auditing, and Compliance to perform tasks effectively.

• Provide guidance on entity formation processes for businesses. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CaseWare

• Experienced in using CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Skilled in various Accounting Functions

• Able to handle Annual Income Tax Provision

• Experience with Auditing

• Understanding of Compliance regulations and standards

• Knowledgeable in Entity Formation

• Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures

• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferred but not required.
